Hi Bee, Wow, you went to OZ? I'm so envious. Nice kookabura shot. They're not shy are they? My dad told me that when he was there visiting my relatives, the kookabura stole their bbq meat away when they were not watching. In fact he show me a photo of my uncle next to the bbq pit and the kookabura standing right in front of him watching at the food. Funny bird.

Hi Darren, Con, Wei Luen, thanks for yr kind comments.
i did a search ID for my bird model, the following is e copy and paste version fr its website;
The Kookaburra is the most Australian of birds The best known member of the kingfisher family, Kookaburras can be found in all eastern states and south-eastern South Australia. And has been "introduced" into Tasmania and south-western Western Australia.
Its raucous call or laughter is very endearing to most Australians, and can be heard before dawn and at dusk. As they live in small family groups, when one starts to chortle, the others join in.
Ya WL the bird not a shy type to me, just a cool cool guy seems to be.

Darren, It's a digital copy with my dad. It was in his camera. I have to ask him to bring it to Singapore next time he comes. My parents stay in Malaysia.
