"What to expect on May 24 Outing"
 
FUN, of course!!

There will be a few 500mm, 400mm, 300mm and could be a new 600mm available and I am sure you can try out some of these lens.

I went to SBG yesterday to do a little recce for our outing on May 24. Like I said the the outing thread, you will not really need to have super long lens, 300mm will be ok. Actually I missed a number of shots as the bird was way too close for me to focus.

1D2 500mm ISO400 f/8 1/640s fill tripod

And if you do bring a long lens, like a 500 or a 600, bring an extension tube, so you can focus closer.

Thanks Con & Chris. Sorry, forgot to ID, this is a male Olive-backed Sunbird, just in case you are wondering. There were a couple of them around and if we are lucky, we may get Crimson Sunbird.
